Popeye Spinach

Does any of you remember the cartoon Popeye the sailor man? Upon swallowing his spinach, he became physically stronger and indestructible. His character encouraged kids (including myself) to eat vegetables, spinach in particular.

I am not promising you any supernatural powers after trying my recipe, but at least a powerful boost of minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants.

Ingredients:
1 lb fresh Spinach (pre-washed)
1 cup diced colorful peppers
1 bunch cilantro (chopped)
1 lemon juiced
1/2lb ground meat
1/2 cup grape seed oil
1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp cardamon, 1 tsp cinnamon
1 large onion (chopped)

Directions:
1. in a deep pan place the spinach, cover, and let it wither on low heat (you will see how it shrinks when it cooks, takes about 15-20 min)
2. In a medium pan place the oil, the meat, the onion, and the spices. Saute on high heat till the meat is thoroughly cooked
3, Add the withered spinach and cook on low heat for 10 min
4. Add the lemon, the cilantro, the peppers, and turn off the heat

Benefits of Spinach:
Improves vision, strengthens bones, prevents calcifications, supports nervous function, promotes beautiful skin, boosts immune system, is anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, rich in fiber

Benefits of peppers:
rich in fiber and protein, rich in vitamins and minerals
